pħoton is a visual artist currently living and working in Karlsruhe, Germany. His career as a VJ started in 2007 in Bamberg, when he had his first gigs together with the DJ- ensemble "schwarz-weiss-musik". In 2008 he started working with the DJs Mark N. Klamotte and Thomas Tabasco in Karlsruhe on a monthly basis at the parties called "Klick Klack Klub", which he is still doing. Besides he worked at several single events like the "Melting Arts" events, "KAfe Budapest" or the "Erstsemsterparty" at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe.

His visuals vary from minimalistic black & white to different styles of retro video clips. The thing that unites these different styles of clips is the way they are matched to the beat and rhythm of the music. pħoton uses a midi- controller and the VJ software Modul8 to constantly fit the Visuals in style, speed, color etc. to the music.

pħotons premise is to only prepare the raw video clips and animations for an event and to do the rest live at the event itself to really give the words "live visuals" a meaning.

He has already worked at a wide range of events, which includes doing live visuals for the band "Le Grand Uff Zaque" from Karlsruhe, for the electronic music artist "Remark" and of course visualizing electronic music through the nights at several DJ gigs.
